New variety Malling Centenary in the greenhouse

After a number of years of trial cultivation, part of the greenhouse at VG Berry was fully planted last week with the strawberry variety Malling Centenary. This concerns an area of 2.4 ha.
Malling Centenary is a firm, juicy and sweet strawberry, just the way we want it. This variety is also characterized by a beautiful shape and good shelf life. And also suitable for production in greenhouses and in tunnels. This makes it a welcome addition to current crops with the Elsanta and Furore varieties.
We expect to be able to pick the first strawberries of this variety around the end of September.
